We are a group of young people who came together in 2025 to organize a Pride parade in Buchholz. Planning began on relatively short notice. Through this Pride parade, we aim to combat discrimination against queer people and increase the visibility of queer life outside of major cities. The Pride parade is organized independently of corporations and government agencies, as we do not want to give them an opportunity to engage in pinkwashing through our event. Instead, the focus should be on queer people themselves, and opportunities for them to organize themselves should be highlighted.
